The United States is one of our most active buyer markets, and the sourcing process is well-established: most first-time US buyers ask the same handful of questions about shipping time, duties and how payment and quality control actually work across the distance. This page answers those directly.
Shipping time & freight options to the US
Sea freight from Indian ports (Nhava Sheva/Mumbai, Chennai, or via feeder to Kanpur's ICD) to major US ports typically takes 25–40 days transit depending on the destination coast and routing, plus origin and destination handling time. Air freight is available for smaller or time-sensitive orders at a significantly higher per-kilo cost — commonly used for samples or urgent replenishment rather than full container loads. We advise on which mode fits your order size and timeline.
Duties, tariffs & landed cost
Import duty rates into the US vary by product HS code and can change with trade policy, so we don't quote a fixed duty rate — your customs broker or freight forwarder confirms the applicable rate for your specific product classification at time of import. Build duty, freight and any broker fees into your landed cost calculation before comparing our factory-direct pricing to any other quote.
Incoterms US buyers commonly use
Most US buyers we work with use FOB (we handle origin logistics and export clearance, you arrange the ocean/air leg and US customs) or CIF (we also arrange freight to your US port). See our Incoterms guide for a full explanation of each option.

Why US buyers choose Tiwari Groups International
Because Wickbond Private Limited is a registered Indian company with verifiable legal identity (CIN, GSTIN), US buyers get contractual accountability rather than dealing with an anonymous trading intermediary — important when goods and payment cross an ocean before either party can inspect the other's claims in person.
